Home Portrait | Custom Illustration

Commemorate a beloved home or venue with a custom portrait- a unique and memorable gift for weddings, birthdays, first homes, and housewarming!

Each Home Portrait is hand painted and signed by Andrea Shields on high quality Arches 140 lb bright white watercolor paper with natural deckled edge. Your painting will include blank space around the edge for room to mat and frame your piece. 

*Standard timeline for completion is 4-5 weeks. Please contact us if rush order is requested.

Base pricing:

8x10 Watercolor Paper: $225 plus tax

9x12 Watercolor Paper: $275 plus tax

11x14 Watercolor Paper: $400 plus tax

How to Order

1) Visit this form and fill out our Home Portrait design questionnaire. 

2) After we receive your form, we will reach out with any follow-up questions prior to sketching your home portrait, and establish an estimated timeline for completion.  You will then receive a sketch of the design for approval before painting begins. Up to two rounds of edits to your sketch will be included with our base price. Additional edits to your sketch after two rounds will cost $25.

3) Once your custom sketch is approved, you'll receive an emailed invoice that can be paid online, and your painting will be officially underway!  Any alterations after the final painting begins start at $75 per edit. Please note, once painting is underway or completed, it is very difficult to edit the artwork. 

Available add ons:

Prints of your custom artwork: We are happy to digitize your beautiful home portrait for an additional $50 plus printing costs.

Digital file for printing on wedding items and paper goods: We will digitize your home/venue portrait for an additional $50, and provide you with pricing to purchase a one time license for printing. Additional licenses can be purchased for printing on other goods such as napkins, cups, etc. 

Full invitation suite and printing services: Andrea Shields Illustration can provide full service invitation design and printing services with the inclusion of your custom watercolor artwork. Please contact for pricing and more details.

Additional Information

Unless expressly granted in writing prior to production, Andrea Shields Illustration owns the rights to the artwork in perpetuity, as well as the right to use the artwork for promotional purposes, and to repurpose and sell the artwork to other customers.
